This page is dedicated to our partners (individuals, schools, programs, and organizations) who demonstrate constructivist practices http://www.greatlakescc.org/about/guiding-principles/. By sharing real-world examples of constructivism, GLCC hopes to facilitate, replicate, and innovate systemic approaches to constructivism. Professional Learning Institute
PLI is exemplary of a high school that provides a democratic learning environment for all students and staff.
At PLI, students work on individual projects throughout a quarter, where the projects are based around the students ability, hobbies, interests and career paths. Students meet with advisors and community members to further investigate and build their projects.
PLI’s democratic learning process enables students to lead, participate, question and trust their peers and advisors to take risks. The learning environments motivate the students in a culturally relevant environment, ensuring they are always the center of their own education. http://www.plidragons.org/
